Although there is no official word about the show being canceled, fans of UPN's Friday night drama "Legacy" are already rallying support for the show, which goes on hiatus in March, fearing that the series about a family on a Kentucky horse farm may not return. UPN announced the decision to pull the show for seven weeks on Tuesday, February 2, and within hours a "Keep Legacy Campaign" was born on the Internet. Fans of the post Civil War-era drama launched a web site along with write-in campaign to UPN, its affiliates and the show's sponsors.
Fan support played a vital role in the return of CBS's series "Magnificent 7" and UPN's "The Sentinel," and although it may be premature, the campaign could certainly have an impact on "Legacy's" future."
It is gratifying to our cast and crew to discover such a loyal fan base," says Executive Producer Chris Abbott. "We all love the show and hope we can keep it in the UPN schedule."
